Havoc Releases Schedule

Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL â The Huntsville Havoc released their 2004-05 schedule today. The schedule includes nine Thursday, nine Friday, nine Saturday and one Sunday game.
The Havoc will host the Macon Trax on Friday, October 29 at 7:30. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Havoc Magnetic Schedule. The Havoc players will also wear a special inaugural season patch on their black home jersey and those jerseys will be auctioned off immediately after the game.
They will host the Knoxville Ice Bears on Saturday, October 30. The first 1,000 adults 21 and over will receive a Havoc Cap courtesy of Bud Light and WHNT-TV 19.
Once again, all Thursday night games will be "Hockey Night in Huntsville" with $2.00 beers and $1.00 hot dogs and sodas. The Havoc will wear a special red jersey on all Friday night games (except the season opener). These special jerseys will be auctioned off following the March 18 game against Knoxville.
"We are very pleased with our home schedule. With the majority of our games on Friday and Saturday nights, it provides us many opportunities for great giveaways and other unique promotions," Havoc General Manager, Kevin Walker, said. "I also like the fact that we can continue 'Hockey Night in Huntsville' on Thursdays, with special food and drink discounts."
The SPHL consists of eight teams. Member teams include the Asheville Aces, Cape Fear Fire Antz, Columbus Cottonmouths, Jacksonville Barracudas, Knoxville Ice Bears, Macon Trax and Winston-Salem Polar Twins. The Orlando Seals are also a charter member but will not begin play until the 2005-06 season.
The season will open Friday, October 29 and end on Sunday, March 20. Each team will play a 56-game regular season schedule. The playoff format will be released in early October.
"We are real excited that the schedule is finalized," Havoc head coach, John Gibson, said. "We have a good home schedule with good weekend dates. It will be good to rekindle the Macon, Columbus rivalries and pick up where we left off with Knoxville."
