Trax release 2004-05 schedule

[Macon, Ga.]—The Macon Trax are proud to announce the anxiously awaited Inaugural Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) schedule. Opening weekend will see the Trax face two old Central Hockey League (CHL) rivals.

Friday, Oct. 29 the Trax will open up the season in Huntsville before traveling to face their hated rivals in Columbus on Saturday, Oct. 30. The Trax will open up their home portion of the schedule Saturday, Nov. 20 versus the Cottonmouths at the Macon Centreplex.

"Our schedule is very favorable again this season." said Trax General Manager Joe Suk, "I think starting out with our old CHL rivals on the road and at home will be phenomenal."

The Trax have a very favorable home schedule with 21 of their 28 games scheduled for weekend dates. This season the Macon Centreplex will be the place to spend many of your favorite holidays.

On Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and St. Patrick's Day the Trax will be hosting an SPHL match up. Fans should circle their calendars now for the special New Year's Eve Bash. After the Trax face the Columbus Cottonmouths, fans will be invited to stay for a midnight bash with the player's and staff. Plans are being put together now for special packages for in town and out of town guests that could include a post game party, hotel packages, and ticket packages. Details will be made available at a later date.

"The New Year's Eve game is already circled on my calendar." Said Trax Media Relations Director/Broadcaster Adam Minnick, "I hope our rivals in Columbus will bring a huge group of fans to join our fans in a New Year's Eve bash after the game."

Macon will look to avenge their loss in the finals last season to Jacksonville on Friday, Dec. 3 when the Barracudas return to town. The 2004-05 regular season will end with a home and home series against our rivals in Georgia, Mar. 18 and 19.

Season tickets and corporate packages for the 2004-05 season are on sale now for as low as $99. The Trax are looking forward to renewing their rivalries with Columbus and Huntsville from the late 1990's. To be a part of exciting Macon Trax hockey call the office at 478-742-4849.
