DANBURY - The Danbury Hat Tricks continue to make history every night, as they extended their winning streak to 10 games tonight in a 5-2 victory over the Watertown Wolves.

Phil Bronner opened the scoring with a laser of a wrist shot over the blocker of Jeremy Pominville, sparked by Aaron Atwell vacating the penalty box and jump-starting a zone entry. With less than a minute remaining in the first period, Nicola Levesque shouldered off a Watertown defender to generate a shorthanded breakaway, which he potted to put the Tricks on top 2-0.

Joseph Deveny buried a wrist shot on a 2-on-1 to get the Wolves on the board. Deric Boudreau would knot up the score with a powerplay goal after a Kruz Listmayer major penalty. Jonny Ruiz would respond with another shorthanded goal, however, backhanding a breakaway shot past Pominville to reclaim the lead just before the end of the second period.

Steve Mele and Aaron Atwell would add to the lead in the final frame, cinching the 5-2 triumph. The win ties a Danbury hockey record, set by the 2015-16 Danbury Titans who won 10 straight regular season games.

"It's a product of the process we go through on a daily basis," head coach Billy McCreary commented after the game. "Seeing the same opponent back to back weeks, you're able to focus on some details and make some adjustments, I thought we did a good job of that tonight."

Tom McGuckin would stop 19 of 21 shots to earn his seventh consecutive victory.
