Harrisburg Senators News Release


The Hartford Yard Goats quieted the Senators bats Saturday night in their 4-2 win over the Sens. The loudest ball hit by the Sens left the yard as Jake Alu homered for the second time in the series. Harrisburg had a chance in the ninth inning to tie the game but left the tying runs on base.

ON CAPITOL HILL

Steven Fuentes started and went six innings allowing a run on six hits while striking out five. Fuentes pitched into and out of several jams including a bases loaded one out situation in the fifth in which he struck out the final two batters of the inning. Francys Peguero pitched two innings and allowed two runs on two hits. He took the loss, his first on the season. Dakody Clemmer pitched the ninth inning and allowed a run on no hits.

WITH THE GAVEL

Jake Alu had two hits including his second home run on the season. No other Senator had two hits.

FILIBUSTERS

The Senators didn't commit an error, the eighth game this season they haven't committed an error. Harrisburg went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position while Hartford was 3-for-13.

The Senators and Hartford Yard Goats play game six of their six-game series Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The games can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 12:50 p.m.
