North Little Rock, AR - Emerson Hancock set the tone on Sunday night with four dominant innings to start the game and the Arkansas Travelers rolled to a 5-3 win over the Amarillo Sod Poodles on Sunday night at Dickey-Stephens Park in front of a crowd of 6,184. Facing the minimum over four frames, Hancock posted four strikeouts in his longest start of the season. Jack Larsen led the Travs offense with three hits while Kaden Polcovich and Tanner Kirwer had two hits each.
Moments That Mattered
* Kirwer cracked a two out double scoring Riley Unroe in the second inning to put the Travs on top.
* Arkansas gained control in the fourth with four straight one out singles that pushed the lead to four.
* After Amarillo had scored three in the seventh and had the tying runs on base, Devin Sweet struck out Drew Stankiewicz to end the inning and keep the Travs on top.
