Hamilton, Liggins Named 2014 NBA Development League All-Stars

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Feb. 3, 2014) - Sioux Falls Skyforce players Justin Hamilton and DeAndre Liggins have been selected to participate in the 2014 NBA Development League All-Star Game, the league announced today. The eighth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Sprint Arena inside NBA All-Star Jam Session at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The game will air live on NBA TV at 2 p.m. CT.

Hamilton is currently averaging 19.6 points and 9.1 rebounds through 26 games (all starts). He joined the Skyforce after participating in training camp with the Miami HEAT. The 7-0, 255-pound center was originally selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round (45th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft.

Liggins is currently averaging 15.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and a league-leading 2.8 steals through 26 games (all starts). He was named Performer of the Week for games played Dec. 23-29 after averaging 23.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.7 blocks. The 6-6, 209-pound guard has appeared in 56 NBA games with the Orlando Magic (17) and Oklahoma City Thunder (39).

The field of 20 players was selected by a vote of the NBA D-League's 17 head coaches and was divided into two teams by League officials. Players were eligible to be selected based on having played in at least half of their team's games through Jan. 26. Each player must be on an active NBA D-League roster at the time of the NBA D-League All-Star Game in order to compete.
