
Hamaliuk returned to Kelowna, Dorey re-assinged

The Rockets will have all three pieces of the draft-day trade with the Seattle Thunderbirds available for opening night, forward Dillon Hamaliuk has been re-assigned to the Rockets from the San Jose Sharks.
Hamaliuk was drafted by the San Jose Sharks during the second round (N0. 55) by the San Jose Sharks at the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver on June 22. He was acquired along with defenceman Jake Lee and goaltender Cole Schwebius from the Thunderbirds during the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
Last season Hamaliuk had 26 points (11G, 15A) in 31 games with Seattle before he was sidelined with a season-ending injury in December.
The Leduc, Alta. product suited up for Team WHL at the CIBC Canada Russia Series in November. He was also invited to play at the Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game but missed the event because of his injury.
Nolan Foote (Tampa Bay), Kaedan Korczak (Vegas), and Sean Comrie (Philadelphia) are still away at NHL training camps.
The Rockets have re-assigned Noah Dorey
The Rockets will open their Memorial Cup season on Saturday against the Spokane Chiefs. The home opener will also be the Rockets tenth annual Canadian Cancer Society Pink in the Rink game.
Kelowna will wear pink jerseys that feature a special ten-year shoulder patch, they will be up for auction with the money raised going to the CIBC Run for the Cure. Pink glow wristbands will be handed out to fans in attendance and are also encouraged to wear pink to the game. Prizes will be up for grabs for people sporting pink.
