Sioux Falls Canaries News Release
Sioux City, IA - The Sioux Falls Canaries were dealt a fifth consecutive loss on Tuesday, falling 8-2 at Sioux City.
The Birds plated a run in the top of the first as Joe Vos walked and scored on a Michael Curialle base hit. The Explorers answered with a pair of runs in the bottom half and would not trail the rest of the way.
Sioux City added a run in the second inning, another in the fourth and one more in the fifth to built a 5-1 lead.
Mike Hart launched a solo homerun with one out in the top of the sixth but that's as close as Sioux Falls would get. The Explorers used a three-run double in the eighth inning to blow the game open.
Anthony Hall led the Canaries with three hits as the Birds dip to 12-12 overall. The two teams continue their three-game series Wednesday at 6:35pm.
