(READING, PA) - The Eastern League announced on Monday that Fightin Phils first baseman Darick Hall has been named the Eastern League's Player of the Week for the period of July 22-28. Hall is the first Fightin Phil to earn the honor in 2019.

Hall, who turned 24 on Thursday, batted .310 (9-for-20) with a double, triple, three home runs, five RBIs, nine runs scored, four walks, and a .724 slugging percentage in nine games for the Fightin Phils over that span. He reached base in eight of those nine games, and had two multihit contests.

Hall capped the week by hitting the game-tying home run with two outs in the ninth inning at New Hampshire on Sunday, a game the Fightins came from behind to win, 9-8.

The 6'4 first baseman is currently batting .249 with an Eastern League leading 63 RBIs, and ranks first in doubles with 29 and second in the league in home runs with 19. In 101 games, Hall has drawn 42 walks, and has an on-base percentage of .352 while slugging .500.

Born in Sierra Vista, AZ, Hall was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 14th round out of Dallas Baptist University in 2016.

Portland's Daniel McGrath was named the Eastern League's Pitcher of the Week.

The Fightins continue their seven-day road trip on Monday when they open a three-game series at Bowie starting at 7:05 p.m. The team will return home to FirstEnergy Stadium on Friday for a six-game homestand, starting with the Hartford Yard Goats at 7:05 p.m. on Savage 61 Fiesta Friday, presented by Don Julio Tequila.

America's Classic Ballpark is proud to be a part of Pennsylvania's Americana Region and was voted the #1 stadium in all of Double-A by MiLB's Ben Hill.
