Flying Squirrels Back for Three-Day, Mid-Week Homestand

FUNNVILLE - The Richmond Flying Squirrels return to The Diamond for a three-game home series from Tuesday through Thursday. The homestand includes a pair of giveaways recognizing the 10 memorable past players series and closes out with In-Your-Face Fireworks.

Tickets are available online at SquirrelsBaseball.com/Tickets, by phone at 804-359-FUNN (3866) or in person at the Flying Squirrels offices.

The homestand begins on Tuesday night with the Joe Panik "Panik Button" T-shirt Giveaway presented by Qualified Staffing, part of the 10 memorable past players series in the Flying Squirrels' 10th Season celebration. The first 1,500 fans 15 & older will receive a "Click the Panik Button" T-shirt, honoring the San Francisco Giants' All-Star second baseman, who played for the Flying Squirrels in 2013.

On Wednesday, the first 1,500 fans 21 & older will receive a Matt Duffy "Duffman" Tank Top presented by Bud Light, continuing the 10 memorable past players series, recognizing the infielder who rose from the Flying Squirrels to the Giants during the 2014 season. The giveaway was rescheduled to Wednesday following a rainout on July 23.

The series concludes on Thursday night with In-Your-Face Fireworks presented by Puritan Cleaners. It will also be Faith Night, with live music and pregame player testimonials.

The Flying Squirrels host the Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, who are making their only trip to Richmond this season.

6:35 p.m. | Gates open at 5:30 p.m. | TICKETS

Matt Duffy "Duffman" Tank Top Giveaway presented by Bud Light: As part of the 10 memorable past players series, the first 1,500 fans 21 & older receive a Matt Duffy "Duffman" tank top, the ultimate tribute to the former Flying Squirrels infielder who went straight from the Boulevard to the big leagues.

Wine Up Wednesdays: Enjoy $5 glasses of wine and $6 wine slushies from 5:30-7:30 p.m. (Available at the wine cart located in the Funnville Fan Zone on the main concourse).

Greek Festival presented by Retail Merchants Association: Expect a few food specials and unique entertainment as the Flying Squirrels bring their version of the Greek Festival to Funnville.
