Lexington Legends Catcher Michael Hill Tags out Hagerstown Suns Runner Matthew Page at the Plate

Grant DeBruin and Jakson Reetz each hit two-run homers for Hagerstown as the Suns completed a sweep of a doubleheader over the Lexington Legends with a 5-1 win in the second game in front of 5,028 fans at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
In the opener, Hagerstown starter Joan Baez (4-5) struck out seven batters in five innings and the Suns claimed a 3-1 victory.
The doubleheader was played due a rainout Thursday night, and the games were the first two of the second half of the season.
Hagerstown opened the scoring in the second inning of the first game. With one out, Matthew Page singled, but was thrown out at home plate trying to score on a double by Austin Davidson. Davidson took third on the throw home, and scored on a two-out single by Jorge Tillero.
The Suns added single runs in the third and fourth.
The Legends scored their only run in the bottom of the fourth when Michael Hill doubled home Anderson Miller, who had led off the inning with a walk.
Legends starter Scott Blewett (3-7) pitched the entire seven-inning game and took the loss. He allowed eight hits and two earned runs.
Hagerstown took a 1-0 lead in the second inning of the second game when Wiseman walked, stole second, and came home on a single by Page.
In the third, Max Schrock was hit by a pitch with two outs and DeBruin followed with his first home run of the season.
Page led off the fourth with a single, and Reetz homered to left field, giving the Suns a 5-0 lead.
The Legends scored in the sixth when D.J. Burt doubled, moved to third after a fly out by Amalani Fukofuka and scored on a two-out single by Xavier Fernandez.
Hagerstown starter Taylor Guilbeau (1-0) got the win. Legends starter Daniel Concepcion (0-3) was the losing pitcher.
The series continues Saturday night. Game time is 6:35 p.m., and it will be Military Appreciation Night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
