
Playoff-Bound RiverDogs Return Home, Try Not to be Too Terrible as They Celebrate America's Birthday

CHARLESTON, SC - Celebrating 20 years at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, the playoff-bound Charleston RiverDogs return home for a seven-game homestand from June 27-July 3 and will celebrate America's independence, along with presenting Terrible Tuesday, throwing a Halfway to New Year's Party and a Redneck Night.
Returning from a brief four-game road trip in Rome, the RiverDogs host the Greenville Drive and the Augusta GreenJackets. Charleston will play Greenville in a three-game series from June 27-29, and face the GreenJackets June 30-July 3.
Monday, June 27, 7:05pm: Blackbaud "Dogs With A Cause" benefiting Be A Mentor, presented by Z93 Jamz: We put the "Dog" in RiverDogs as part of a Dog Day in conjunction with Z93 Jamz. Bring your pup to the park to cheer on the RiverDogs in their first home game since clinching the playoffs, against Greenville as you enjoy $1 beers and $1 hot dogs presented by Miller Lite.
Tuesday, June 28, 7:05pm: "Take Me Out" Tuesday / Terrible Tuesday: Take Me Out Tuesday returns in which the RiverDogs bring you a Terrible Tuesday. Join all of the atrociousness as there will be stale popcorn and flat sodas, along with a grass-growing contest, and a teeth brushing / orange juice drinking competition. The "Take Me Out Tuesday" features a two-for-$20 meal and ticket deal at the gate.
Wednesday, June 29, 7:05pm: Service Industry Night / Seniors Eat Free: Join the RiverDogs and the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association as we help recognize individuals in the local service industry, hotel staff in particular. Service industry employees, who show proof of employment with a pay stub, receive 30 percent off of their game ticket and food. There will be numerous in-game contests that spotlight our service industry members including a bellhop competition. It'll also be Senior Wednesday as seniors who enter the park before 7pm receive a free hot dog, chips and a drink, and will be allowed to run the bases after the game. Sorry kids, it's an adult run!
Thursday, June 30, 7:05pm: Thirsty Thursday / Halfway to New Year's Eve: Join DJ Natty Heavy in the Ashley View Pub for another Budweiser Thirsty Thursday and make a resolution to join us for our Halfway to New Year's Eve Party presented by 95 SX that features $1 draft beers. The band Southbound 17 welcomes you in the park and we'll see who can shoot the champagne cork the furthest, and join in our "ball"oon drop. It'll also be Charleston County "Go Green" night as there will be a recycling bag giveaway.
Friday, July 1, 7:05pm: ISHPI Red Shirt Friday / Friday Night Fireworks / Watermelon Day: Want to blast off the weekend and America's birthday right? Enjoy another spectacular Home Telecom postgame fireworks show as we welcome 'Duke' from Bush's Beans. Have your picture taken with 'Duke' and see if you can get him to spill the beans about the family recipe. The South Carolina Watermelon Growers Association will also be on site and which will feature a flavorful twist to our pregame ceremonies. The RiverDogs will wear specialty red uniforms to honor our military as part of ISHPI Red Shirt Fridays presented by Mix 96. Fans that wear red to the game get $1 off their ticket purchase at the gate with the option to donate that dollar to the Wounded Warrior Corps.
Saturday, July 2, 6:05pm: Saturdays Live at The Joe Presents Redneck Night / Bush's Beans Fireworks: Fans can continue to join in "With the Crowd" in a summer series of postgame shows. Arrive early to get player autographs on the concourse and stay late for another "Saturday Live at The Joe" presented by Star 99.7. Fans can join in on toilet bowl horseshoes and other redneck activities throughout the game. Bush's Beans will present the second night of fantastic fireworks as the RiverDogs take on the Augusta GreenJackets.
Sunday, July 3, 6:35pm: Holy City Sunday / Kids Club Sunday / Bush's Beans Fireworks: The RiverDogs embrace Charleston's "Holy City" moniker that has defined the community as a place of unity for centuries. The club will wear specialty uniforms that proudly display the "Holy City" namesake across their pinstriped tops with a new 'HC' emblem on the caps. It's also a Kids Club Sunday where all Kid's Club members get in free. In association with Charleston County Parks & Recreation, and Y102.5, Sunday features free parking and Lowcountry youth eat free, enjoy pregame catch on the field as well as a rockin' postgame firework spectacular presented by Bush's Beans.
