PREVIEW: Delmarva and Kannapolis meet in the first two games of the second half on the Shorebirds third trip to the north side of Charlotte. Last night's suspended game will resume in the bottom of the fourth inning and the regularly scheduled contest will follow 30 minutes afterwards as a seven inning game. The Shorebirds are the hottest team in the league the last three weeks - their 14-6 record in June is the best in the league, along with Delmarva's 25 homers this month and second best ERA of 2.49. The 'Birds come into tonight's game having won 10 of their last 12 games, including a season-high, seven-game winning streak before the All-Star break. Since the Shorebirds opened the season with a 4-6 mark and lost two of the first three series, they have a series record of 12-3-2 over their last 17 sets, going 38-21 over that stretch. The Intimidators finished the first half 24-46, the worst record of any of the 14 teams in the league.

TONIGHT'S OPPONENT: Right-hander Drew Hasler will take the mound when game one resumes, while Luis Martinez gets the ball in game two. Martinez is 0-1 in two appearances against Delmarva, but hasn't seen the 'Birds since April 22nd. This will be Hasler's fourth appearance vs. Delmarva.

LAST GAME QUICK HITS: The Shorebirds won the final game of the first half in thrilling fashion. After blowing a 6-2 lead, the Shorebirds trailed 7-6 going into the top of the ninth. With Mountcastle at first, two outs and a 3-2 count, Yermin Mercedes launched his eighth home run of the season to left-center field to lift Delmarva to it's first road victory when trailing after eight innings this season. Jay Flaa ran his scoreless innings stretch to 12.0 as he earned his second win of the year. Ademar Rifaela homered to straight-away center field, a three-run shot in the fourth that gave the 'Birds a comfortable lead at the time.
