Rick Hague led off the game with a double, and moved to third as Justino Cuevas' sacrifice bunt was mishandled by Lexington pitcher Luis Cruz for an error. Hague scored as Cuevas was forced out at second on a ground ball to third hit by J.P. Ramirez. Second baseman Jimmy Paredes relay to first sailed into the stands for the second Legends error of the inning, and Ramirez advanced to second. After Dustin Hood walked, Brett Newsome singled to right, scoring Ramirez with the second run of the inning and sending Hood to third. The Suns added three more runs in the second inning. Adrian Nieto led off with his second home run of the year, a line drive over the wall in left center field. Sandy Leon doubled, and Eury Perez reached on a bunt single. Perez was caught stealing, but Hague walked. Justino Cuevas followed with a double down the left field line, scoring Leon and Hague to make it 6-0.

Applebee (6-5) relieved at the start of the third inning and finished the game to get the win. He allowed four hits and one run in seven innings and struck out five batters.

Hagerstown scored twice in the fourth inning to build the lead to 8-0. A single by Hague and a double by Ramirez produced one run. Ramirez then went to third on an infield out and scored on a wild pitch by Lexington reliever Colton Pitkin.

The ball rolled behind the mound, far enough for Rogers to cross the plate safely.

The Legends didn't have a base runner until Jonathan Meyer singled with two outs in the fifth inning, and didn't score until two outs in the ninth. Brian Kemp led off the ninth with a double, and scored two outs later on a double by Barry Butera.

Cruz (7-5) was the losing pitcher.
