Gwinnett Can Clinch Playoff Berth with Win Tonight

· The top 8 teams in the American Conference will qualify for the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Division winners of the South Division and the East Division will be ranked 1 & 2 based on points.

· Florida, Pensacola and Charlotte clinched playoff berths earlier this week. With a loss last night by Pee Dee, Columbia and South Carolina clinched a playoff berth.

· Charlotte is ranked 2nd in the American Conference as the top team in the East Division, just 1 point ahead of the Columbia Inferno.

· The Gladiators are 14 points ahead of the 9th place Pee Dee Pride tied for 6th place in the Conference.

· The Gladiators need just 1 points to clinch a playoff berth, either lost by the Pride or gained by the Gladiators.

· Louisiana, Augusta and Texas have been eliminated from the playoff race.

· Just 4 points separates 8th place in the conference and 4th place in the conference.

· Just 3 points separates the top 3 teams in the East Division with a #2 seed on the line for the division winner.

· Following the Gladiators west coast trip, they play just 3 different teams, Augusta, Charlotte and Pee Dee in their final 6 regular season games.

· Right now, if the Gladiators won all their remaining games, the best they could finish with is 92 points.

· Gwinnett and Mississippi cannot catch Pensacola for the top spot in the American Conference.

· Gwinnett and Mississippi can catch Florida for second in the South Division and Florida has an outside chance to finish first in the Conference with 85 points, 10 points behind the top seed Ice Pilots.

· The Gladiators are currently 2-1-0 on their west coast trip losing only to Long Beach on a blue sheet of ice.
