
Guelph Storm Sign 1st, 2nd Round Draft Choices

The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that they have signed their first two 2004 Priority Selection draft choices.
General Manager Dave Barr selected defenseman Michael Caruso with the 19th overall selection. The 6.02, 170 lbs. Streetsville native played last season with the Mississauga Rebels (Midget AAA). "He is so calm and cool with the puck, and you know he can only get better." said Rebels GM Bart Marcolini. "A first-class kid" he added. "Michael is going to be a great player."
The Storm have also signed their second round Priority Selection pick, Matthew Lyall . The 5.10, 155 lbs. center was selected 27th overall and spent last season with the Richmond Hill Stars registering 79 points in 72 games played.
Caruso and Lyall will attend the Storm training camp which begins September 1st.
