Ottawa 67's News Release

The Ottawa 67's are pleased to announce the signings of left-winger/left-cetreman Patrick Ouellette, right-winger Matt Lahey and right-winger Arron Alphonso. All three players will be joining the hockey club for the 2004-2005 season and their junior career in the Ontario Hockey League.

Ouellette, (pronounced OH-lett), was drafted by the Ottawa 67's in the 3rd Round of the 2003 OHL Priority Selection. In 2003-04, Ouellette played for the Tecumseh Chiefs of the Western Jr. B League of the Ontario Hockey Association. In 47 games, he scored 16 goals and had 13 assists as well as 29 PIM's. He was also named to the Western Jr. B All-Rookie All-Star team.

"With many U.S. schools pursuing Patrick, we feel very fortunate that he has chosen the Ottawa 67's." Said Ottawa 67's Head Coach and General Manager, Brian Kilrea.

Matt Lahey (LAY-hee) was the Ottawa 67's 1st Round choice in this year's OHL Priority Selection (10th overall). Lahey played for the Oshawa Jr Generals in 2003-04 and scored 35 goals in 43 games to go along with his 110 penalty minutes.

Alphonso was the Ottawa 67's 2nd Round choice in this year's OHL Priority Selection (30th overall). Alphonso played with the Georgetown Raiders of the OHA in 2003-04 and registered 21 points in 46 games.

"We are looking forward to seeing all three players at training camp and in the lineup this season and I think the fans will be excited to see them perform here in Ottawa." Kilrea stated.
