Spirit Offer Stick Boy Opportunity

The Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club has a rare opening for a stick boy for the 2004-05 season. The ideal candidate is a boy between 11 and 16 years old, with an interest in hockey and the ability to commit to a 34 game season. Entrants must have their parents' permission to become qualified to win.

The Spirit are offering the opportunity to the winner of an essay contest. Applicants should e-mail a brief essay talking about their qualifications to either Spirit Equipment Manager Jose Ortiz at jortiz@saginawspirit.com, or Spirit Head Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach Bryan Burnstein at bburnstein@saginawspirit.com. The e-mail should include some form of parental permission.

The application process ends Monday, August 9th. A winner will be named shortly afterward.

The Saginaw Spirit, Mid-Michigan's Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Franchise plays 34 home games from September to March. The OHL is part of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), which also includes the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
