Gudbranson Named to Team Canada Selection Camp Roster

Assistant Captain and third year defenceman Erik Gudbranson was chosen to compete for a position on Team Canada's World Junior squad this upcoming holiday season.

Gudbranson, who was selected 3rd overall by the Florida Panthers in this past June's NHL Entry Draft, is playing in his third OHL season for the Club.

The Orleans native will be one of 12 defenceman competing for a spot on the 2011 Team. The selection camp will be held on December 12-15 at the MasterCard Centre in Toronto.

This year's tournament will be held in Buffalo, New York and begins on Boxing Day when Canada meets Russia. Canada is looking to win its sixth goal medal in the last seven years. Last year Frontenac Captain Brian Lashoff won a gold medal with Team USA as they bested Team Canada in overtime.
