Grizzlies Win 2-1 Nail Biter in Tulsa

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Jake Marchment had 1 goal and 1 assist and Joe Cannata stopped 36 of 37 shots as the Utah Grizzlies defeat the Tulsa Oilers 2-1 on Tuesday night at BOK Center.

Special teams played a factor early in the game as Jake Marchment scored a power play goal with 4:57 left in the first period. It was Marchment's 12th goal of the season. Tim McGauley and Kevin Davis got the assist. McGauley also got in a fight with Alex Kromm 8:13 into the game.

Tulsa scored the lone goal in the second period as Ian McNulty scored his 9th goal of the season. Adam Pleskach and Eric Drapluk got the helpers.

Josh Anderson scored his first professional goal 10:38 into the third period to give Utah a 2-1 lead. Marchment and Jack Walker tallied the assists. It was a lead the Grizzlies held on to as they go to a 2-1 record on the current 6 game road trip.

The season series between the 2 teams is tied at 2 wins apiece. Game 2 of the quick 2 game series is Wednesday night at BOK Center. 6:00 pm MT face-off.
