Grizzlies Trek To Anchorage For Wednesday, Friday, Saturday Series

The Grizzlies enter the week with a 15-13-2-1 record as they play games three, four and five of their eight-game road trip this week in Anchorage.

Who's Hot

Ryan Kinasewich: five goals, six assists in last nine games.

AJ Perry: six goals, two assists in last eight games.

Tony Romano: three goals, five assists in last six games.

Power-Play

The Grizzlies power-play still leads the ECHL converting at a rate of 22-percent.

Alaska Homecoming

Grizzlies forward Lance Galbraith will make his return to Alaska this week after being traded to Utah from the Aces less than two weeks ago. With his new team in Utah, Galbraith has three points, a plus-three, 13 shots and 16 penalty minutes in four games.

Former Grizzlies In Alaska

Utah will see three of their former players this week in Scott Burt (2007-2008), Justin Johnson (2007-2008) and Evan Kotsopoulous who was traded to Alaska on December 27 for Galbraith.

Airborne

The Grizzlies trip to Alaska will be the first airplane trip of the year for the team who up until this point has traveled exclusively by bus.

New D-Man

Defenseman Brock Wilson, who was acquired Thursday from Toledo tallied a power-play goal for the Grizzlies Saturday and as the weekend progressed advanced to the Grizzlies number-one power-play unit.

New D-Man's Dad

Wilson's dad Rik played four games for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles in 1982-83 and it is believed to be the first father-son tandem to play professional hockey in Utah. Rik went on to play 253 NHL games with St. Louis, Chicago and Calgary.
