Grizzlies to hold baseball camp

Fresno, CA - It is time to come out and learn from the pros! Manager Shane Turner, current Grizzlies players and coaching staff will host the 2005 Fresno Grizzlies Baseball Camp at Grizzlies Stadium July 20-22 from 9 a.m. to noon each day.

Boys and girls ages of 6-12 years old are encouraged to attend this unique camp where they will receive both group and individual instruction. Campers will learn to enhance their skills on the various aspects of baseball, such as running, fielding, hitting and pitching.

Campers will be divided into "teams" according to age and will rotate stations to work on different skills. Grizzlies players and coaching staff will be on-hand to assist and instruct each camper as they progress through the camp itinerary.

On Friday, July 22, an awards luncheon will be held in the Miller Pavilion, located inside Grizzlies Stadium, where campers will be recognized for their successful completion of the camp.

Registration cost for each camper is $150.00, which includes lunch at the end of each camp day, a camp t-shirt, a Grizzlies goodie bag and two tickets to the Friday, July 22 Grizzlies game versus the Portland Beavers, triple-A affiliate to the San Diego Padres. Prior to the game the campers will be paraded onto the field to recognize their participation in the camp.

Deadline for registration is 5 p.m. Monday, July 11.
