Boise, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies 3-1 Saturday night at CenturyLink Arena as the two teams split the home and home preseason series. The Steelheads added a late empty-netter to break the 2-1 game late.

Idaho built a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes and took that lead into the third period. Utah led on the shot board throughout (31-23), with more scoring chances and power-play opportunities (6-4), but was unable to get more than one shot past Idaho goaltender Ryan Zapolski.
