Grizzlies Sign Colorado College Star; Re-Assign Eric Labelleto Rockford

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies National Hockey League affiliate, the Phoenix Coyotes, announced today that they have signed forward Scott Polaski to an amateur tryout (ATO) and that he will join the Grizzlies for their season-ending four-game road trip. Also, Utah announced that they have re-assigned forward Eric Labelle to Rockford of the United Hockey League.

Polaski, 22, just recently competed in the Frozen Four with Colorado College. This season in 38 games with CC he posted two goals with 15 assists playing on the same line with Hobey Baker finalists Brett Sterling and Marty Sertich. In his career with CC, the 6-2, 195-pound right wing played in 157 games scoring 19 goals with 45 assists. The Colorado Springs native was originally a sixth round draft selection (180th overall) of the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He is the nephew of U.S. Speed Skating Champion Bonnie Blair.

Labelle dressed in 14 games during his impressive stint with the Grizzlies scoring two goals with an assist and he added 56 penalty minutes. He will rejoin Rockford (UHL) for their first round playoff series with Kalamazoo that begins on Friday.

The Grizzlies next play on Wednesday night in Cleveland versus the Barons. Face-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM (mst).
