Grizzlies Return Home Friday, Saturday And Monday

The Situation

The Grizzlies enter the week with a 17-16-2-2 record after going 1-1-0-1 through Stockton and Boise this past week. Utah completed their eight-game road trip with six games in 11 nights that also included four travel days.

Back Home

The Grizzlies will return home for the first time since December 31, this weekend to host Ontario.

All-Star Festivities

Grizzlies forwards AJ Perry, Ryan Kinasewich along with defenseman Vic Bartley will be Utah's representatives at the ECHL's All-Star Festivities Tuesday and Wednesday in Ontario. Tuesday, at the skills competition, the three will all participate in the breakaway relay while Kinasewich will also take part in the accuracy shooting competition.

Break From Bridgeport

Defenseman Vic Bartley, who has been on recall to the Grizzlies and Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport since December 8 will travel to California for the week and then head back to the AHL.

Sixsmith Returns

James Sixsmith returned to the Utah lineup Friday in Stockton after two months in the AHL and tallied a shorthanded goal Friday and a power-play goal Saturday. Sixsmith now has nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points in 14 games with Utah.

Rookies Find Home

Patrick Asselin (Idaho) and Tim Crowder (Bakersfield), both signed by Utah after being released by other ECHL teams have come into their own with the Grizzlies. Tim Crowder has five goals and seven assists with Utah in 11 games, including three multiple-point games in his last six. Asselin has scored in four of five games with Utah, tallying three goals and two assists in five games.

Ontario

The Grizzlies defeated the Reign in two-straight games December 2 and 4, combining to score 13 goals during the stretch. Utah is 4-1 all-time against the Reign at the E-Center and 6-1-0-1 all-time versus the Reign.

Power-Play Back Atop The League

Despite going 0-2, the Grizzlies actually reclaimed the top spot in the league on the power-play thanks to their penalty-kill Friday which held Stockton, who entered the night ranked number-one, to 0-6. Utah then cemented their number one spot Saturday, by going 3-5 to raise their percentage on the year to 22.3-percent.
