
Cyclones Receive McLean, Sproat, Release Ford

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have received forwards Mike McLean and Dustin Sproat from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). In another transaction, the club has released forward Ryan Ford.
McLean appeared in six games with Milwaukee this season, but did not register a point. He has 20 points (nine goals and eleven assists) in 33 games with the Cyclones.
Sproat played in four contests with Milwaukee, but did not record a point. He has 28 points (eleven goals and 17 assists) in 33 games with Cincinnati.
Ford, 23, played in two games over the weekend with the Cyclones. He has been returned to the Evansville Ice Men of the All-American Hockey League.
The Cyclones are on the road Friday night (Jan. 22) with a 7:30pm showdown at Kalamazoo. That game will be carried on 1530 Homer - The Sports Animal with the pregame airing at 7pm. The club returns to U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday (Jan. 23) when Kalamazoo visits at 7:30pm on 'Kids Eat Free Night'. Children twelve and under will receive a coupon good for a John Morrell hot dog, a bag of Grippos potato chips and a small can of orange Crush.
Tickets for the 2009-10 Cincinnati Cyclones season are now on sale. The Cyclones Sales Department can be reached at 513-421-PUCK, extension 3. Selected Friday night games will be carried on 1530 Homer - The Sports Animal. The next broadcast is scheduled for Friday, January 22 from Kalamazoo at 7:30pm.
