
Grizzlies Release 2009-2010 Promotional Schedule

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies announced today their promotional schedule for the 2009-2010 season. The Grizzlies home opening weekend is Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24 when they host the Idaho Steelheads at the E-Center at 7 p.m.
Opening Weekend presented by Firestone, will feature a Grizzlies magnetic schedule for the first 5,000 fans on the 23rd and the team's 4th annual Pink in the Rink game for breast cancer awareness on Saturday, the 24th. The team will once again be playing on pink ice and wearing pink jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds going to fight breast cancer.
Individual tickets for the season are on sale now at the E-Center box office, any Ticketmaster location or online at www.utahgrizzlies.com where fans can buy and print their tickets from home.
The Grizzlies nightly promotional schedule features: Rockstar Rock the House Night and KFAN Happy Hour from 6-7 p.m. every Friday; two 4 p.m. Sunday games where Kids under 12 will eat free, two Monday Family Nights where kids 12 and under will be admitted free**, in addition to $1 food and beverage specials. Wild $2 Wednesdays will return for all seven Wednesday night games. On Wednesdays, student tickets will be sold for $5; while hot dogs, Pepsi products, draft beers and fries will be available for $2.
Friday, November 20 and Friday, January 29 the Grizzlies introduce Pack The House Nights where every seat in the arena will be available for $5. Pack the House tickets will be available to the general public after November 1. Friday, December 4, the Grizzlies will unveil their new third jerseys which follow the same color scheme as their NHL affiliate the New York Islanders. The third jerseys will be worn for every Friday night game until they are auctioned off on Friday, March 12 on St. Jude Night.
The regular season home schedule will finish with Fan Appreciation Weekend on Friday and Saturday, March 26 and 27. Friday, will feature a post-game skate with the team, while Saturday will include a team poster giveaway and a post-game party with the team at Chili's. The Grizzlies will also feature post-game skates with the team on Saturday, November 28 and Saturday, December 19.

Nightly Specials
Monday Family Nights presented by K-BULL 93 and Country Legends 107.5
Kids under 12 will be admitted free and there will also be $1 Soft Drinks and Concession specials.
Wild $2 Wednesdays presented by U-92
$2 soft drinks, $2 hot dogs, $2 draft beers and $2 Fries
Students presenting ID at the box office will receive $5 corner plaza tickets on Wednesday nights.
Friday: Rockstar Rock The House
KFAN Happy Hour from 6-7 p.m will feature $5 meal deals available on the concourse before the game. A 4th Floor Pre-Game Party featuring Food, Beverages and Entertainment will also take place with a cover charge admitting the general public. In addition, fans presenting a Rockstar can at the box office will have the opportunity to buy one ticket and get one free. KFAN Happy Hour will also include buy one can of Rockstar and get one free.
Sunday: Kid's Eat Free
All kids under 12 will receive a free coupon for a free hot dog, soft drink and chips.

Saturday, October 24, 4th Annual Pink in the Rink game for breast cancer awareness
The game will include pink Grizzlies jerseys and a post-game pink jersey auction with all proceeds going to fighting breast cancer.

Sunday, November 22, Kids Eat Free 4 p.m. start
All kids under 12 will receive a free coupon for a free hot dog, soft drink and chips.
Friday, November 27, KBER Teddy Bear Toss
All fans are invited to bring stuffed animals that will be tossed onto the ice following the team's first goal. The Grizzlies team will then donate the stuffed toys to patients at Primary Children's Medical Center during their pre-Christmas visit.
Saturday, November 28, Post-game skate with the team
Bring your own skates, a limited number will be available for rent.
Friday, December 4, 3rd Jersey Debut
The Grizzlies will debut their Friday night jersey, themed after their parent club the New York Islanders.
Saturday, December 5, Angel's Hands Night
Post-Game Angel's Hands Foundation Jersey Auction.
Saturday, December 19, Post-game skate with the team
Bring your own skates, a limited number will be available for rent.
Thursday, December 31, New Year's Eve Party
Special 6 p.m. start.
Saturday, January 23, Guns N' Hoses Night
Local police and firemen will play their annual game at 2 p.m. for charity. The action continues at 7 p.m. when the Grizzlies host Ontario.
Monday, January 24, Family Night
Kids Under 12 will be admitted free; $1 Soft Drinks and Concession Specials. Limit 2 free kids per paying adult.

Utah opens the preseason Friday, October 9 at the Eccles Ice Center in Logan. Tickets are available for $7 and can be purchased at www.utahgrizzlies.com.
Utah enters their fifth year in the ECHL and their third-straight season as an affiliate of the New York Islanders. On September 16, 2009 the Grizzlies announced that they will also be adding up to four prospects this season from the Calgary Flames. Head Coach Kevin Colley returns to the Utah bench this upcoming season after signing a multi-year contract extension on April 20, 2009. Colley, who at the age of 30 is the youngest coach in the ECHL, led the Grizzlies to the playoffs for the third time in four years during his rookie head coaching campaign.
