CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have received five players from American Hockey League (AHL) camps.

The Cyclones have had forward Jimmy Kilpatrick and defensemen Doug Krantz and Kevin Roeder returned to the squad. All three players were previously under contract with Cincinnati and had participated in AHL camps. Kilpatrick has been in camp with the Houston Aeros, while Krantz tried out with the Portland Pirates and Roeder was with the Syracuse Crunch.

Cincinnati also received goaltender Robert Mayer from the Hamilton Bulldogs. The club also obtained forward Mike McLean from the Milwaukee Admirals. Mayer, a rookie, played last season with Saint John (QMJHL) and turned in a 26-25-4 with a 3.25 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. McLean, a third-year forward, split last season between Dayton (ECHL) and Lake Erie (AHL). With the Bombers, Mike was the second-leading scorer on the club with 17 goals and 29 assists for 46 points in 47 games. With the Monsters, he played in 25 games with four goals and eight assists for twelve points.

With the addition of these five players, the Cyclones currently have 29 players in camp. There will be additional player movement over the next few days. The preseason opens on Friday night (October 9) when the Toledo Walleye visit U.S. Bank Arena at 7:30pm (tickets are $5 each). Saturday (October 10), the preseason closes at Toledo with a 7:30pm contest.

Tickets for the 2009-10 Cincinnati Cyclones season are now on sale. The Cyclones Sales Department can be reached at 513-421-PUCK, extension 3. The Cyclones open the regular season at Elmira on Friday, October 16 and after three road games, host their home opener at U.S. Bank Arena against Wheeling on Saturday, October 24 at 7:30pm. There will be a special divisional championship banner raising ceremony prior to that game.
