Grizzlies Open Six-Game Home Stand Friday

The Situation

The Grizzlies come home with a 28-22-4-2 record and with 16 games left on the season. Utah will play nine of the sixteen games at home in the final month and two games of the regular season.

Utah will start a stretch Friday of 14 games in 27 nights after just completing a stretch of only seven games in 26 nights.

Who's Hot

Hugo Carpentier, who was a game time decision Saturday after leaving Friday's game with an injury, totaled one goal and one assist Saturday in Victoria. Carpentier now has two goals and three assists in his last six games.

Flames Prospects Make 2010-2011 Maverik Center Debuts

Josh Meyers and Ryley Grantham, both former NHL draft picks and both under NHL contracts with the Calgary Flames, joined Utah over the weekend in Victoria and both scored their first points in 2010-2011 Saturday. Meyers actually played in five games in West Valley City last year to start his professional career.

Power-Play Gets Going

The Grizzlies responded with three goals Saturday night as Kevin Colley changed everything up on the power-play and the team went three-for-five on the one-man advantage. Utah had scored just three power-play goals in their previous seven games.

Against Ontario

Utah is 6-1-2-0 against the Reign this year and unbeaten in regulation in seven-straight games against Ontario.

The Home Stand Continues

Utah welcomes Stockton to Maverik Center Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of next week.
