January 2, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release

Life Is A Highway

The Grizzlies open their longest road trip of the year Wednesday in Anchorage. The seven-game, 14-day trip will take Utah to Alaska, Bakersfield, Fresno and Stockton.

Looking Ahead

After the trip, the Grizzlies will have played 26 of their first 37 games on the road to open the 2006-2007 season.

Looking For A First

When the Grizzlies visit the Alaska Aces Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, they will be looking for their first-ever win(s) in Anchorage. The Sullivan Arena in Anchorage is the only ECHL venue where the Grizzlies have played and never won. On December 22, the Grizzlies picked up their first all-time win in Bakersfield.

Looking For Payback

This is the Grizzlies first visit to Anchorage since the 2005-2006 playoffs; when Utah was eliminated by the ECHL's eventual Kelly Cup Champions.

Kinasewich Update

Ryan Kinasewich has a team season-high six-game scoring streak (7 goals, 4 assists) entering the road trip for Utah. Last week, he was named the ECHL's Player of the Week for the week ending December 23.

Back Home

Utah returns home January 19 hosting Las Vegas at the E-Center.

This Week:

Wednesday: Utah @ Alaska

Friday: Utah @ Alaska

Saturday: Utah @ Alaska

Last Week:

The Grizzlies went 1-2, defeating Las Vegas at home 4-3 Saturday night.
