Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Johnstown, PA (January 2, 2007) - The Johnstown Chiefs on Tuesday announced that they have partnered with the American Heart Association to create a "Red Out At The Rink" at the team's home game on February 17 against the Wheeling Nailers.

"Red Out at the Rink" is a partnership between the Johnstown Chiefs and Go Red For Women, the American Heart Association's national campaign to raise awareness of heart disease in women and encourage women to take charge of their health.

"Everybody has a special woman in their life, whether it's a wife, girlfriend, mother, sister, or daughter," said Chiefs President Jim Weber. "By partnering with the American Heart Association and the Go Red For Women campaign to have a 'red out at the rink,' the Chiefs have a great opportunity to raise awareness on an issue that will affect everyone at some point by creating a unique atmosphere for players and fans at the game."

Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear red to the event in order to increase awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of women.

Special Red Out the Rink T-Shirts will be available to order in the Chiefs office, and proceeds from every shirt sold will benefit the American Heart Association. In addition, there is a discount ticket price for the event on February 17. Ticket prices will be $10 when you call Eric Wolfgang at (814) 539-1799 x. 232 or email at eric@johnstownchiefs.com.
