
Falcons ring in 2007 with seven-game winning streak

Your defending Pacific Division Champion Fresno Falcons beat the Long Beach Ice Dogs 3-1 Sunday in Long Beach to extend the season high winning streak to seven games. The seven game winning streak is also the Falcons longest winning streak since Fresno joined the ECHL. The winning streak also includes a FOUR GAME SWEEP OF THE STOCKTON THUNDER! The Thunder had led the division until recently, and now the Las Vegas Wranglers begin the New Year in first place with Fresno only 2 points behind the Wranglers.
The Falcons host the Victoria Salmon Kings this Friday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 5pm at the Save Mart Center. Friday is a Falcons Calendar Poster Giveaway to the first 3000 fans courtesy of Community Medical Center and Dumont Printing. Fans may also show up early to test their skills at the Matrix Lounge Xbox Gaming Stations with the Xbox game NHL 2k7 to be played on the stations set up on the SW concourse. Four lucky fans will be chosen at Friday's game to face off against the Falcons at the Matrix Lounge in the Xbox game NHL 2k7. (Matrix Lounge is located on Cedar across from the Fresno State Campus inside the Fresno Indoor Soccer facility). All fans are also encouraged to attend Friday's game early and check out Chalk Talk with Coach Matt Thomas on the upper level by the main doors. Chalk Talk is a fifteen minute pregame scouting report. All fans are welcome.
Sunday is a Comcast Cable/Pump It Up Falcons Kids Day with the Falcons playing Victoria at 5pm. All kids 14 and younger may purchase tickets to Sunday's game for half price. Sunday also features a special "Birthday Tribute to the King". In Celebration of the birth date of Elvis Presley (January 8th, 1935), the Falcons welcome Jeremy "Elvis" Pearce for a pregame Elvis Show starting at 4:15pm on the concourse. There will also be a first intermission Elvis Performance at center ice with 20 lucky lady Falcons fans getting the chance to take a seat on the ice and be serenaded by the "King". (Jeremy)
