Grizzlies Make Roster Moves

West Valley City, Utah -The Utah Grizzlies announced today that they have re-called forward Jeff Bateman and defenseman Regan Darby from their ECHL affiliate Idaho Steelheads.

Bateman is no stranger to Utah having spent a large part of both the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons with the Grizzlies. Bateman began this season in Utah scoring one goal in three games. Since being assigned to the Steelheads, Bateman has compiled nine points (4-5-9) in 12 games with 38 penalty minutes. Bateman was originally selected by Dallas in the fourth round of the1999 NHL Entry Draft

Darby, who was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the fourth round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, played only one game for the Grizzlies before being assigned to Idaho. In twelve games with the Steelheads, Darby has recorded one goal and 43 penalty minutes.

The Grizzlies will battle the Worcester IceCats in the second of a three-game series this Saturday at the 'E' Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
