Grizzlies Host Bakersfield Wednesday, Friday

The Situation

Utah at 1-1, hosts the 2-0 Bakersfield Condors Wednesday and Friday at Maverik Center. The Condors join the Alaska Aces as the only two undefeated teams in the Western Conference after one week of play.

Good Starts

The Grizzlies took a 1-0 first period lead in both games over the weekend.

Drawing Penalties

The Grizzlies drew a league-high 17 power-play situations this weekend against Idaho.

Road Starts

The Grizzlies remained unbeaten in their road season opener under Kevin Colley. Utah is now 3-0-1-0 in their first road game of the year over the last four seasons.

Leading Scorer

John Armstrong had one goal Friday and added an assist on Saturday.

Spreading Around Shots

Utah had seven players who had at least two shots in games on Friday and Saturday. John Negrin leads Utah with 10 shots on goal over two games.

At The Arena

Wednesday is a Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers. In addition, all students can purchase $5 tickets when presenting student ID's. All other fans will be offered $10 corner plaza tickets at the arena box office. Friday features a free post-game skate with $2 skate rentals.
