
Grizzlies drop finale to Kings

The Gateway Grizzlies (27-35) left five runners on in the first two innings, 10 for the game as the Kalmazoo Kings (36-30) shut out Gateway on just five hits Friday night 6-0.
Rob Wirth was the only Grizzlie with more than a single hit. Wirth was 2-2 with a pair of singles and two walks. Mike Breyman, Freddy Lopez and Greg Stevens each had a hit for the Grizzlies.
Erik Dessau (5-5) took the loss for the Grizzlies. Dessau gave up five runs on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings of work.
The Grizzlies continue the series with a 6:05, central time, game in Washington, PA Saturday night. Nathan Roush (5-4) will start against the WildThings.
