Utah Grizzlies News Release

Boise, Idaho - The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Idaho Steelheads 3-2 in a shootout Wednesday night in Boise.

Utah battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits before getting the game-winning sudden-death goal from Kory Falite in the sixth round of the shootout after Adam Morrison stopped all six shots from Idaho in goal for the Grizzlies.

After Idaho took a 1-0 lead 2:16 into the game, Utah tied things up 5:41 later as James Martin threw in a puck from the blue line as the line of Kory Falite, Tommy Maxwell and Alex Tuckerman worked hard to keep the puck going in the Idaho end.

Idaho took a 2-1 lead early in the second period, before the Grizzlies drew a power-play just moments later and scored as David Eddy in the high-slot fed Adam Estoclet in the circle and he found Gaelan Patterson in front for the score off of the opening face-off. Patterson scored his third third period goal in the last two nights and his fourth in the last four games.

Adam Morrison improved to 4-4 with Utah as he stopped 33 of 35 shots through overtime as Utah won for the second-straight night after overnight travel to Boise following last night's 2-1 win over San Francisco.

Utah continues in Idaho Friday and Saturday with the Steelheads. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.

Utah returns home for a Wild $2 Wednesday on March 6 when they will host Gwinnett. There will be $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks, $2 Draft Beers and $5 Student Tickets available to students with ID at the arena box office.

The Grizzlies host Colorado Friday, March 8; Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10.
