Familiar Face Returns Between the Pipes

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced the return of goaltender Chris Carrozzi from the AHL's St. John's IceCaps.

In his second call-up to IceCaps this season, Carrozzi, appeared in two games with one win and one loss. The 22-year-old goalie allowed just one goal against the Monarchs in their 5-3 victory over Manchester, but in the next game allowed six goals on 36 shots.

This season with the IceCaps, Carrozzi has a 2.80 goals-against average and a 0.879 save percentage in three games adding to his AHL totals of six games played with a 3.58 goal-against average and 0.859 save percentage.

Upon returning to the Reign, the Nepean, Ontario native will pick up where he left off with a 16-6-1 record, 2.92 goals-against average, and 0.882 save percentage in 23 starts. Carrozzi is tied for second in the league with three shutouts on the season

Carrozzi was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round, #154 overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
