Grizzlies Announce Time Change for July 3rd and July 4th
July 1, 2012 - Frontier League (FL)
Gateway Grizzlies News Release
The Gateway Grizzlies and GCS Ballpark have moved the regularly scheduled games to 7:05 PM on July 3rd and 4th due to the warm weather conditions.
In response to this summer's heat wave Grizzlies management and GM Steve Gomric made the modification to accommodate fans and spectators.
"It is remarkable how much cooler 7:00 PM is than an hour earlier," stated Gateway's Gomric on Sunday. "By moving these games we are doing everything in our power to meet our fans need's and supply them with the best experience possible. There will still be an amazing fireworks show after each game, it will simply light up the sky later in the night and at a time that is much cooler.
The Grizzlies would like to encourage all groups, online purchasers, and season ticket holders to attend the evening affairs, as the Grizzlies battle the Windy City Thunderbolts. There will be cooling stations on the concourse of GCS Ballpark, as well as multiple hydrating fountains and water available.
