Utah Grizzlies News Release

Stockton, California - The Utah Grizzlies finished the road-trip strong and head into the all-star break on a three-game winning streak. Their efforts were backed by Ryan Kinasewich who provided the spark tonight producing a hat-trick in the Grizzlies 5-3 victory over the Stockton Thunder.

The Stockton Thunder were the first on the board with a Power Play goal by Troy Bodie from the top of the crease at 7:55 of the first period. But, with 1:05 left in the first period Utah evened the score with Ryan Kinasewich's blast from the point on the Power Play. The goal was Kinasewich's 21st and Andy Sertich was given an assist on the goal.

Utah broke the 1-1 tie 9:45 into the second period with a tip-in Power Play goal by Jake Riddle for his second of the season, with the assist awarded to Chris Trick. Just under three minutes later Utah connected on their third Power Play goal of the night, as Kinasewich put in his second of the night from the point again.

Stockton was able to mount a come back putting up two goals a little over a minute apart to tie the game at three. But, with 11 minutes left in the third Kinasewich finished off his hat-trick with a goal on the door-step. Brad Herauf and Luciano Aquino were given the assists. Aquino now has an assist in all four games in a Grizzlies uniform. With 3:07 remaining in the game Joel Irving gave the Grizz insurance after a nice set-up by Jimmie Kraft.

Sean Fields was strong in net setting aside 33 of 36 shots.

Utah returns to the E-Center for 25 of their final 35 games in the regular season Friday, January 19 hosting Las Vegas. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
