
Griffins Trim Training Camp Roster by Three

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday released goaltender Charlie Effinger, defenseman Kyle Bushee and forward Eric Kattelus from training camp. They will report to their ECHL clubs in Fort Wayne, Elmira and Kalamazoo, respectively.
The Griffins' roster currently stands at 28 players: 17 forwards, eight defensemen and three goalies. The team will play the first of two preseason contests against the Lake Erie Monsters tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, before wrapping up its preseason slate at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Sunday at 7 p.m.
Grand Rapids will open the 2012-13 regular season with back-to-back home games against the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. and the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
