
Griffins face tuneup in Lansing arena

WHAT: AHL Scrimmage - Grand Rapids Griffins vs. Cleveland Barons
WHERE: The Summit - 9410 Davis Hwy, Dimondale, Mich. (I-96 exit 98B)
WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
In their first official tuneup for the 2004-05 American Hockey League season, the Griffins will play the Cleveland Barons in a regulation, 60-minute game at The Summit at the Capital Centre, located just west of Lansing.
Former Michigan State standout Danton Cole is beginning his third season as the Griffins' head coach. The team's roster includes former Michigan star Blake Sloan and 18 of the Detroit Red Wings' top prospects, including defenseman Niklas Kronwall and forward Jiri Hudler.
Tickets will be available at the door for $5 (adults) and $3 (kids 18 and younger).
