
Griffins Announce Potential Schedule for Western Conference Quarterfinals

Grand Rapids, MI - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Tuesday announced five potential schedules for the 2002 Calder Cup playoff Western Conference quarterfinals, pending the outcome of this week's best-of-three qualifying round matchups featuring #7 Chicago against #10 Cincinnati and #8 Philadelphia against #9 Rochester. The Griffins' best-of-five conference quarterfinal series will pair them with the highest-seeded survivor of the qualifying round, either Chicago, Philadelphia or Rochester, and will commence no earlier than this Saturday, April 13. The five potential series are as follows:
Scenario 1 - #7 Chicago defeats #10 Cincinnati in two games (series would end Wednesday)

Game 2 Sun., Apr. 14 Chicago Wolves at GRIFFINS 6:00 p.m.

Single-game tickets for the Griffins' first two home playoff games are currently on sale at the same price as regular season contests: $25, $20, $16, $12, $10 and $5 (advance purchase only). Playoff tickets may be purchased at The Zone and all Tickets PLUS outlets, including Meijer stores, and are available by calling (616) 222-4000 or by visiting www.griffinshockey.com. Single-game tickets for additional home playoff games will be placed on sale as warranted. However, fans wishing to witness the Griffins' entire playoff run may choose from two different playoff packages, each of which offers discounted ticket prices. A "standard package" offers tickets to all 15 possible home playoff games, while a "flex pack" contains 10 coupons that are redeemable in any combination for tickets to any 2002 playoff contests at Van Andel Arena. Depending on their desired seating location, fans can save up to two dollars per ticket off the single-game playoff ticket price.
