Columbus Returns Brad Moran And Mathieu Darche To Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (April 9, 2002) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets reassigned center Brad Moran and left wing Mathieu Darche to Syracuse.

Moran, 22, appeared in 64 games this season with the Crunch recording a team-high 25 goals, 24 assists and 51 penalty minutes. Moran appeared in three games this season with Columbus. A native of Abbotsford, British Columbus, Moran was signed as a free agent by Columbus on June 5, 2000.

Darche, 25, appeared in 63 games with Syracuse this season, recording 45 points (22 goals, 23 assists) and 26 penalty minutes. In 14 games with Columbus, he recorded one goal and one assist. A native of St. Laurent, Quebec, Darche was signed as a free agent by Columbus on May 8, 2000.

The Crunch will open the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs this weekend against either Cincinnati, Rochester or Philadelphia (dates to be determined).
