GREENVILLE, SC - Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors finish an eight-game home stand by taking on their in-state rival South Carolina Stingrays. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.
The Road Warriors (6-5-0) host South Carolina (8-4-1) tonight for the third of 16 scheduled meetings between the clubs. The Road Warriors pulled out a dramatic 2-1 win in a shootout in Greenville in the most recent meeting between the clubs last Saturday night. The Road Warriors trailed 1-0 until there was one minute left in the third period when Marc-Olivier Vallerand beat Philipp Grubauer with a backhand shot to tie the game. The win moved the Road Warriors to 2-0-0 against the Stingrays this season. Vallerand is looking to keep his recent hot streak going. He has three goals in his last two games and is second on the team with five goals. Tonight is a Two for Tuesday presented by BI-LO. Fans can show their BI-LO BONUSCARD at the Breakaway Honda Box Office at the BI-LO Center and receive a free ticket with the purchase of another ticket of equal value.

NOTEWORTHY:
The Road Warriors are 5-2-0 against South Division opponents so far this season. Their five wins are the third most in the league against divisional opponents (CHI - 7, KAL - 6, AK - 6).
With Saturday's shootout win, goalie Nic Riopel is now 4-0 in his career in shootouts. He is tied for third among goalies for most wins this season with six.
Greenville is 5-2-0 on its 8-game homestand. It will be followed by 7 straight road games starting Nov. 18. Both are the longest such stretches of the season for the Road Warriors.
Four of the Road Warriors' six wins this season have been comeback victories.
The Road Warriors have the top rated power play in the ECHL at 27.1 percent on the season. That comes despite averaging the second fewest PP chances per game at 4.36. Only Alaska (4.15) is averaging fewer while Utah is at the top of the list at 6.17 PP chances/game.
