TODAY'S MATCHUP: Today the Cyclones will kick off their 13-game season series against the Toledo Walleye for the 2011 Education In Hockey Day. Over the past four seasons, the Cyclones have accumulated a 2-1-1 record when hosting this special event. Since 2006, Cincinnati has played very evenly against the Walleye/Storm - earning a 19-20-1-1 record.

SCOUTING THE WALLEYE: Despite having two more games played than the Cyclones, Toledo shares the third-place spot in the North Division with Cincinnati. Nick Vitucci's club has had a rough start away from Northwest Ohio, going just 1-4-0 in their road contests this year and scoring the third-fewest road goals of any team in the ECHL (11). Former Notre Dame star Evan Rankin is Toledo's top point-getter, amassing 13 points (6 goals, 7 assists) while Brian Rufenach and Gleason Fournier are tied for second on the team with seven points apiece. With Thomas McCollum currently on assignment in Grand Rapids, Carter Hutton has assumed the starting role with the Walleye. In six games this season, he has gone 2-4-0 with a hefty 4.19 goals-against-average. A year ago, Hutton went 11-7-2 with the Worcester Sharks earning a 3.01 goals-against average along the way.

Leaderer Nearing 100: When Cyclones defenseman David Leaderer tallies his next goal OR assist, he will eclipse the 100-point plateau for his professional career. He currently sits at 99 points in 226 games.

Late Game Magic: Garrett Suter's game-winner came in the final half-minute of regulation on Saturday. Cincinnati has been a very strong third period team this season, outscoring their opponents 11-7 in the final frame while outshooting them a total of 95-70. In fact, eight of those 11 third period goals came in the final 10 minutes.

Spreading the Offensive Love: The Cyclones have found help on the scoresheet from many different sources. In fact, all but three Cincinnati skaters have earned at least a point this season. They have had 10 different goal-scorers.
