Casey Kelly's third double of the game drove in the winning run in the 10th inning as the Greenville Drive defeated the visiting Lexington Legends 4-3 Tuesday night.

The Drive scored in the first inning when Jeremy Hazelbaker led off with a single and scored on Kelly's double to right center field.

Lexington tied it in the fourth. With one out, Brandon Wikoff bunted for a single. He stole second and scored from there on a base hit by Andy Simunic. Kelly, the shortstop, knocked the ball down, but was unable to make a play as Wikoff scored.

Greenville reclaimed the lead in the sixth when Kelly hit his second double and scored on Zach Gentile's single.

The Legends tied it again in the eighth. With two outs and the bases empty, Jay Austin walked. He stole second and went to third on an infield hit by Albert Cartwright. Brandon Wikoff then singled up the middle to tie the game at 2-2.

In the top of the ninth, Andy Simunic walked to lead off, stole second and went to third when catcher Ryan Lavarnway's throw went into center field . After Michael Diaz struck out, Eric Suttle's sacrifice fly to left field scored Simunic to give Lexington a 3-2 lead.

Lavarnway quickly tied it in the bottom of the ninth with a leadoff home run, his 15th of the year.

The Legends threatened in the tenth with runners at first and second and one out, but could not score. Pete Hissey led off the bottom of the tenth with an infield single. He was sacrificed to second by Ryan Dent, and scored the winning run on Kelly's ground ball down the left field line.

Chad Povich (2-0) got the win in relief. Henry Villar (2-3) pitched the tenth inning and took the loss. The two teams will meet in Greenville again tomorrow night. Game time is 7 p.m.
