(Greensboro, NC)- The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, dropped the first of two games to the Maine Celtics (Boston Celtics affiliate) by the score of 120-106 on Friday night at the Novant Health Fieldhouse.

On assignment from the Hornets, James Bouknight led the pack for Greensboro with 24 points and seven rebounds in 33 minutes. In 16 games with the Swarm, Bouknight has had four games with 20-plus points.

The Celtics were propelled by the performances of Scottie Lindsey, Luka Samanic and Tony Snell who all recorded double-doubles in the victory. Lindsey tied a season-high of 32 points and had 10 rebounds. Samanic followed in close pursuit with 31 points and 10 boards, and Snell tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively.

While Maine was able to stretch its lead in the second half, the ebbs and flows of the contest saw each team hold an advantage during certain points of the opening quarters. Ultimately, riding the momentum of Lindsey and Samanic, the Celtics pulled away from the Swarm and garnered a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter. Despite multiple rallies, Greensboro was unable to trim the lead in the closing minutes.

In addition to Bouknight, five Swarm players had double-digit point performances: Jalen Crutcher (16), Kai Jones (16), Xavier Sneed (14), Bryce McGowens (13) and Kobi Simmons (10). Crutcher earned a season-high in rebounds with nine boards on the evening.

In tomorrow night's Community Heroes' Game, presented by Truliant, the Swarm will have a chance for revenge against the Celtics starting at 7pm.
