CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Charge (12-9) defeated the Lakeland Magic (10-10), 130-105, in front of 2,843 at the Wolstein Center on Friday night.

Facing a 66-48 deficit with 3:04 remaining in the first half, Cleveland closed on a 9-1 run to get within 10 at 67-57. The Charge kept the momentum going with a 13-2 run to start the third, making it a 21-3 run overall to take their first lead since 3-2 to start the game. The Charge outscored Lakeland 37-14 in the third quarter to take control of the game for good. Cleveland outscored their opponents 73-38 in the second half overall.

Jamorko Pickett scored a game-high 24 points, including 18 in the second half, plus three steals in 28 minutes. Sam Merrill scored 22 points and grabbed four boards in 31 minutes. Blake Francis came off the bench to score 15 points, grab five rebounds and dish eight assists in 20 minutes. Devontae Shuler also came off the bench to provide 16 points in 24 minutes.

Jay Scrubb paced the Magic with 22 points and two steals in 30 minutes. Zavier Simpson added 21 points, seven assists and a pair of steals in 32 minutes. Caleb Houston scored 16 points and grabbed seven boards with three steals in 32 minutes of relief for Lakeland.

The Charge finish the weekend by celebrating Superman: 85 Years of Heroism presented by Bertman Original Ballpark Mustard tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. against the Lakeland Magic (Orlando Magic).
