
GreenJackets to Induct Stan Swann into Hall of Fame

AUGUSTA, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets announced today that Stan Swann will be this years inductee into the GreenJackets Hall of Fame. Swanns' induction will place him amongst last year's inductees Tim Wakefield and Pablo Sandoval.
"Many Augustans have known Stan in the community not just at the ballpark, but for his entire adult life", said David Petsch, owner of Petsch Respiratory Services. "We at Petsch Respiratory are proud to be able to do such a thing to honor him".
Swanns' induction will be on Saturday, June 21 at Lake Olmstead Stadium. There will be a pre-game ceremony on the field where Swann will receive a plaque honoring him for his dedication to the GreenJackets organization. The plaque will then be displayed prominently on the main concourse.
"The GreenJackets are excited to honor one of the most recognizable figures at our games season after season", said GreenJackets General Manager, Tom Denlinger. "He can be seen cheering, selling launch a balls or just relaying the score night after night here at Lake Olmstead. We look forward to this special night for him."
Game time is slated for 7 PM on June 21st as the GreenJackets face the Asheville Tourists. Gates open at 5:30 PM with a special Miracle League Game on the field prior to the GreenJackets game. It's WRDW Time to Care Night at the stadium. The first 500 fans will receive a t-shirt courtesy of WRDW. There will be a blood drive from 6-9 PM for Shepeard Community Blood Center and Post-Game Fireworks presented by American Family Insurance and post-game kids run the bases.
