Green Bay Hosts Quad City for Week 13 Matchup

The Green Bay Blizzard will look to get back in the win column Friday, June 3rd, when they host the Quad City Steamwheelers at the Resch Center. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m.

Friday's matchup will be the third this season between the Blizzard and Steamwheelers. Quad City has won both contests, 49-31 and 48-30, respectively.

Both teams will be looking to avoid dropping two straight games. In Week 12, Green Bay lost to Iowa on the road, 34-24, while Quad City lost an overtime thriller to Sioux Falls, 62-55, on their home turf.

In their Week 10 meeting, Green Bay entered the fourth quarter with a 26-23 lead. The Steamwheelers scored 22 points in the final quarter, while holding the Blizzard to just seven.

The Blizzard defense will have their hands full with Steamwheelers QB E.J. Hilliard, who enters Friday's matchup coming off of back-to-back six-touchdown performances.

Green Bay will look to LB James Brown to have a large role in containing Hilliard. Brown put on a clinic in Iowa, recording 11 tackles (10 solo, one assist), a pass breakup, and an interception on his way to being named Player of the Game.

Friday is the Blizzard's annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by Nicolet National Bank, Robinson Inc., and WFRV Local 5. Past and present service members get in free by presenting a valid Military ID at the box office. Fans will receive a Green Bay Blizzard military poster as the giveaway of the night.
